Color inspiration for Holiday 2009 comes from my recent holiday in Morocco. The dyes available there are so vibrant that it inspired our saturated, bright colors of the season. Leopard prints with splashes of neon tie the color offering together.
I explored mixing textures: silk chiffon with viscose/lycra, zipper trims on ponte, hammered silk with thermal. These elements add glitz and glamour to the collection for the holiday season.
Silhouettes continue to be strong with a rock & roll edge. The shoulder pad is still important, and it appears in a dress and a cowl neck top, which complements our sculpted t-shirt offering.
Dresses are a focus this season, and the ponte motorcycle jacket can be thrown over many of them for a masculine/feminine look. It’s all about parties and celebrations!
